Limerick is a major town that is located 24 km / 15 miles from Shannon International Airport (SNN). It is situated at the centre of a major motorway network, which connects destinations from all parts of the country.
The N24, N7, N20 and N18 all intersect at Limerick. There is also a rail network running between Ireland's main towns and urban areas.
Buses
Bus service providers to the airport include Bus Eireann, which operates services from Galway, Ennis and Limerick, and Citylink, which runs an airport service from Galway. There is also a bus service operated by Iarnroid Eireann that shuttles passengers from Limerick Railway Station to the airport.

BusEireann operates shuttle bus services from various locations throughout Ireland to Shannon International Airport (SNN). There is a BusEireann travel information desk located in the airport terminal.
Hotel Shuttles
Most major hotels in the Limerick area provide free shuttle bus services to Shannon International Airport (SNN).
Trains
Although there is no train service that runs directly to the airport terminal, there is a rail service operated by Iarnrod Eirann that runs to Limerick Railway Station, from where a regular bus connection runs to and from the airport.
Taxi Cabs
Shannon International Airport (SNN) operates a Hackney taxi cab service from outside the terminal building. To book this service, please contact the 24-hour taxi desk located in the Arrivals Hall. The service operates to destinations throughout Ireland and rates of hire are clearly displayed at the taxi desk.
All rates are for up to four passengers. Vehicles that are licensed to carry more than four passengers will charge a fifth of the total fare for each extra passenger.
Limousines
